Pierre Marcolini Macarons

Then again, mom was shopping in Mitsukoshi...
I didn't really want to shop, so I roamed around and found...

PIERRE MARCOLINI MACARONS!!

So tempted to buy everything but I only brought little cash on me so I decided to buy only 2 pcs :(

Flavors. Omnomnom (I didn't get Cassis this time! LOL)

 PISTACHE

 FRAMBOISE

I enjoyed the pistachio so much, and disliked the framboise. I wasn't really into raspberries at that time so I decided that I got the "best of both worlds" lol I know ok... I'm corny

KATHLEEN'S MACARON CRITERIA:

Shell 8/10
It should be smooth and delicate, slightly crispy but not crunchy- fragile like eggshells, it should also be somehow flat and not dome-shaped with no air bubbles nor air pockets. Technically, excessive coloring is a no-no.

Filling & Flavor 8/10
F&F should be smooth, light and distinctly flavorful. It shouldn't be too sweet or sour as well. Melt in the mouth texture is also a plus! (I didn't like the framboise lol. Dad didn't like it too. But hey, the pistachio was good)

Aesthetics 7/10
Shape and size of the macaron, feet and filling ratio (I guess they have to pay more attention to the sizes of their macarons somehow..)

Value 7.5/10
We all know that macarons aren't easy to do, (and maybe there are even more guidelines that I've yet to read about) so you're technically paying for the labor of the macaron maker. Accept it, pay, then judge if it was worth the money you paid with. (NT$90 each, err.. fine)
