KATHLEEN'S MACARON CRITERIA:

Shell 10/10
It should be smooth and delicate, slightly crispy but not crunchy- fragile like eggshells, it should also be somehow flat and not dome-shaped with no air bubbles nor air pockets. Technically, excessive coloring is a no-no.

Filling & Flavor 9/10
F&F should be smooth, light and distinctly flavorful. It shouldn't be too sweet or sour as well. Melt in the mouth texture is also a plus!

Aesthetics 10/10
Shape and size of the macaron, feet and filling ratio (some people like thick fillings, some people don't. In my case, I do. Don't you get sad when it's just you know... Flat?)

Value 10/10
We all know that macarons aren't easy to do, (and maybe there are even more guidelines that I've yet to read about) so you're technically paying for the labor of the macaron maker. Accept it, pay, then judge if it was worth the money you paid with.

Sonic Carnival: Feast on Sound

Sonic Carnival: Feast on Sound
Quite eerie, right?

Before entering (L-R: Me, Jewel, Elena, Tiff, Chynna)

With Bigfoot and BTSF <3

Meet Tiff. (She's a wild one ..loljk! ..or maybe not) okay so she slept over at my friend's house and later that night she texted me "diba you know that Tona's aircon is noisy? I laid down around 5:30am then sa ears ko parang dj yung aircon as in ang solid ng beat. Ang galing hahahaha sasayaw sana ako kaso lang tulog na sila" .....#DJaircon HAHAHAAHA :(((((((

....Because they can't carry me -.-

With Novanchips wahahahaha facial deformation much

Another shot with Bigfoot :)

(L-R: Mel, Tiff, Chynna, Me, Chloe)

We got sorta tired towards the end so we just gathered at the back.
(L-R: Me, Chynna, Mel, Sel)

With my BTSF, Chynna :)

Someone had fun camwhoring with my phone.. (There were about 16 selfies of him) ..and that someone is Ryon -.- HAHAH

Tried to be complete.. but no :(( Missed Jew, Shanae, Hill, Tona and Anna!
(L-R: Mel, Tiff, Chynna, Me, Keisha, Chloe, Elena, Sel)

Best idea ever: DIY Drawstring Bag for (hassle-free) bringing in and carrying of consumable essentials (water / energy drinks / money / ticket / glowsticks) which I myself purposely sewn (specifically for this event) so I could dispose it on the event itself when things start to go crayyy! (This costed me just about 5 pesos, 15 minutes of my time and my running stich & backstitch sewing talent.. hahaha!)

Viewing things in a different perspective

Got these from my brother's friend who sells super awesome Spectrum Planet diffraction glasses! (I put the link to their site for reference!) I got the black aviator frame with amber lenses. Mhhhhm :)

And of course, GLOW STICKS!!!! :)

It was one hell of a night!

Pierre Hermé Macarons

"The macarons, though only a few grams, agitate our senses. The eyes have already devoured them. Fingers skim their surface, the flavors are gently smelled. When their fine crunchy shell is crushed, the ears are excited by the sound. Then the mouth experiences a delicate grace..."

- Pierre Hermé

One can't simply have just a box of Pierre Hermé macarons... We need three!

Pierre Hermé Macaron Boxes

Yep. I think he rightfully earned the "fabulous" part there!

PIERRE HERMÉ MACARONS
(Well, this is my box!!)

VELOUTÉ BANANE
Banana & Yoghurt
I could def taste the yoghurt in this one! Yum yum yum

MOGADOR
Milk Chocolate & Passion Fruit
I don't like passionfruit :( But my sister likes this one!

INFINIMENT CHOCOLAT PÉROU
Pure Origin Peruvian Dark Chocolate, Morropon Province, Village of Asprobo
I love love love chocolate, and I love how fat the fillings of Pierre Hermé macarons are.

 VELOUTÉ CITRON VERT
Lime Zest & Yoghurt
I also love the conisistency of his macarons. Perfectus!

 INFINIMENT CARAMEL
Salted-Butter Caramel
Even though I dislike caramel, this macaron had the perfect balance of the sweet and salty taste!

JARDIN MERVEILLEUX
Olive Oil with Mandarin Orange & Cucumber Water
Biting into this made me feel like as if I'm eating ponkan hhahaha! I like this one but then my sister didn't see it as anything really special.

VELOUTÉ FRAMBOISE
Raspberry & Yoghurt
I disliked framboise (as you can read in my older posts), but this truly redeemed the taste of framboise macarons in my heart. (lol) but, really.

These are my TOP 5 favorites:

#5:
ENVIE
Vanilla, Violet & Blackcurrant
One more flavor that Pierre Hermé redeemed. Cassis. This tasted nothing like Maison Kayser's Cassis macaron. This was almost heaven. (Because my #1 below there is heaven ok)

#4:
 INFINIMENT CHOCOLAT PORCELANA
Pure Origin Venezuela Porcelana Dark Chocolate
There are days that I crave for chocolates, and this seemed to be the kind of chocolate I want- the perfect mixture of sweet and bitterness. Aaahhh

#3:
 ISPAHAN
Rose, Litchi, Raspberry
After biting into this, I realized that I could actually taste all three flavors separately and it really amused me. By the way, I love how Pierre Hermé macarons don't crumble down or harden up even after days of being in the fridge - it somehow retained its freshness even upto 4 days, and that's a first and a plus for me!

INFINIMENT ROSE
Rose & Rose Petal
I love rose. This one had a light taste, something you would want to probably run after when everything's gone. Nomnomnom

INFINIMENT JASMIN
Jasmine Flower & Jasmine Tea
This is the best macaron I've ever tasted in my whole life. (Not exaggerating) Both of my favorites fused together. Jasmine + macaron. Yep, the best indeed!! I love how delicate this one looked as well- with the pearly white glitters spread across the shells. The ganache was light yet flavorful, felt like drinking tea too! I'm giving 10 million stars for this one! Hahhaha I could probably eat a box of these and not get tired of it!

-----------------------------

So my sister bought two boxes (I didn't get to take a picture of the other sets but I got to try other flavors that wasn't in my box!) I didn't take pictures of the other flavors anymore because I really wanted to eat them already but here's one that truly caught my tastebuds (lol)

CHOCOLATE & SMOKED SALT
It literally tasted like Smoked Chocolate FTW!!!

Forgive me for the different sizes of the pictures. Accidents happen :'(
